Old Assyrian Divorce Document
[Document preceeded by the seals of six witnesses]
Hashusharna, son of Gudgaria, has divorced his wife, Talia. Should Talia
attempt to reaquire her ex-huband Hashusharna, she will be fined two minas
and be publicly executed. If Gudgaria or Hashusharna attempt
to reaquire Talia, they will be fined two minas and be publicly executed.
